London, ON

My Pretties,

Bonjour from sunny and crisp London-town. Here for a wee visit before I'm back in Toronto, then up Lake Huron-way for Easter eggs avec famille! Soon after, I'll be hitting the road with American folk starlet Devon Sproule and Toronto-born experimental pop pianist Mantler. We're gonna give 'er up and down the 401 on a mini Ontario Spring tour ... If you're anywhere in Southern Ontario or Québec hope you can make it out to one of the shows! You can find our tour dates here.

In other news, Roots Music Canada has just posted some videos from my sweet interview in their new office this week! Many thanks to David Newland for the delightful interrogation and Andy Frank for the crack camera-work and editing!

Spring kisses,

x

Bonsoir from the 14th floor of the Toronto Hilton. I'm all cozy in my cushy hotel room, looking out at Old City Hall clock tower in the rain ... (from Own Sweet Time album cover fame!) I've been staying here for the duration of Canadian Music Week, for comfort, personal space and of course, room service! My CMW gig tonight at Global Village Backpackers was amazing. There were lots of lovely folks from all around the world who just happened upon a Sweetland ... Not to mention all of those who already knew what they were getting themselves into ... ;)

Had planned on going back out to an after-party, but upon coming back to drop off gear I sat down and couldn't move!  However, I think I hear the party coming home to me ... echoing boisterously down the halls. Sounds like champagne girl giggles. I thought my friends who are staying in the next room were quietly asleep for the night! But apparently not. They're rolling in at the crack of 4:30 AM. I have a feeling I'm about to witness a serious rock and roll moment. After which I will be sooo ready for a bubble bath.

Nighty-night,

Bonjour and bienvenue to the brand new website!

After eight long years I'm relinquishing my position as webmistress of my domain, and putting the job into far more talented hands ... Those of brilliant web designer (and singer-songwriter) Janine Stoll.

We've spent the better part of the last few months archiving years and years of content ... Photo galleries, and the motherload of blog posts are now comprehensively organized for your browsing pleasure. As well you'll find a sweet new video page, with more delicious videos coming soon!

Stay tuned for spring tour details, the skinny on new Sweetlandish projects and yes, more mysterious photographs ... of  course.

Till then,
